Mentorship programme is initiated by the institute where a group of 7-8 students are provided mentors for their guiding them to overcome their difficulties in studies or in their personal issues. This programme helps to make a good rapport among students and faculties. At IMR, mentorship and counselling is provided to the students right from their decision of choosing specializations. The students are also counselled for the right career. The faculty members and class coordinators help students by showing them their potentialities. Thus choosing career becomes easier for the students. We guide students in preparation of their CV and how to perform in the selection process of the organizations.

Skill development programme is initiated by the institute in the year 2008-09 where a group of 30 students are provided faculties of various skills like Aptitude ability , interview techniques , communication skills, General awareness, Industrial information, Business skills, IT& Programming skills for their guiding and providing latest information them to overcome their difficulties and it helps to improve their personality and skills which are necessary part of corporate world.
IMR has been organizing cultural events popularly known as “Zeal” amongst the collegians. IMR invites students of all the Management institutions which are affiliated to University Of Pune and approved by AICTE for Every alternate year This mega event includes various activities like Sports, Management Game, street plays, Dance competition, Fashion show etc. From such events students learn event management. Students of different Management Institutions are expanding their network by coming together to make this event a success.
For the year 2008-2009 IMR organized intra Zeal . Intra Zeal bonanza was celebrated on 26th, 27th and 28th February 2009. Three days “ Feel the Zeal” was not less than a mega event and was full of events including sports ,management games and cultural programmes. Cricket, Volleyball, Carom, Tug of war and Chess were the events enjoyed and played by students. Business Quiz, Business game, Skit, Mad-Ads, Collage , One minute show and debate and Treasure hunt were showcased in the category of Management Games. In cultural programmes songs, dance, fashion show, skit and mimicry were performed and enjoyed by the participants and the audience. Zeal was inaugurated at the hands of Shri.Malusare, Maharashtra Shree and Prizes were distributed on the final day at the hands of Chief Guest Shri. Gawai ,Finance and Accounts Officer,University of Pune and Shri.Sarjerao Jedhe,Secretary, Shri Shivaji Maratha Society, Pune who chaired the function.150 students participated in the Zeal 2009 who made the event spectacular.
115 certificates for participation given whereas 70 winners were ceremoniously awarded at Prize distribution function.

To encourage our students for research we have started our own house Journal “ Anveshan” . This journal showcases articles and papers written by our students and our faculty members.
We believe that today’s students also need to have social quotient. So we arrange various social activities like Blood Donation Camp, Tree Plantation and Visit to NGO etc. It is observed that apart from studies social activities enhance student personality.
Blood Donation Camp
As a part of social responsibility, IMR organizes Blood Donation camp every year. On 26 January 2009 IMR has organised Blood Donation Camp and 55 persons donated blood on this occasion.
Computer Literacy Programme
As a part of social responsibility, IMR has organised four days workshop (15 April 09 to 18 April 2009) on Computer Literacy programme for house wives during this programme theoretical as well as practical knowledge related to basics of computer technology, MS-Office , Internet and its uses in daily life has provided by the faculty of IMR.
